Day of Prayer in Advent
“Walking through ADVENT with Mary”
Saturday, December 8, 2007, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This Advent retreat coincides with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, thus providing a wonderful opportunity for us to honor Mary and acknowledge her as the holy one preserved from original sin from the moment of conception. Mary has always been and continues to be our model in discipleship. During our time together we will reflect on various Marian Scriptural passages to discern how they influence and strengthen us to live as disciples of Jesus.
Presenter: Sister Michelle McGurran, O.S.B., is a member of Mount Saint Benedict Monastery. She earned an MA in religious studies from Fordham University, New York. She served until recently as Pastoral Administrator in Lucan, in the New Ulm diocese. Presently, Sister Michelle is a member of the monastery formation team, directs our volunteer live-ins and serves on the MSB Center staff.
Suggested fee: $35 includes lunch and snacks and access to Marian literature.
